Shiva.com, the resource for Jewish mourning, announces partnership with Pathways — a San Francisco Bay Area not-for-profit providing home health, hospice, private duty, and geriatric care management care — providing guidance on Jewish mourning and shiva, along with planning tools and resources for honoring loved ones.
Shiva.com, the resource for Jewish mourning, announced a partnership earlier this week with leading health services provider Pathways, expanding its network of hospice partners bringing information and resources to the thousands of families it serves across Northern California.
Shiva.com’s Learning Center and Planning Center help educate, guide, and inform individuals and families about the traditions, customs, and appropriate expressions of sympathy. “We use modern methods and progressive technology to provide access to qualified information and various viewpoints that are easy to understand,” says Michael Schimmel, CEO and founder of shiva.com, “and we are excited to partner with Pathways to bring these resources to their patients’ families and caregivers.”
For Pathways, the partnership with shiva.com reinforces its mission of the high-quality, patient- and family-centered home care that the nonprofit has prided itself on since its inception in 1977. “We’re proud to partner with shiva.com, and to provide this resource to both our Jewish communities and people who wish to show their support for friends and loved ones who are Jewish,” said Pathways Director of Bereavement Services Chris Taich. “Visitors to Pathways’ website will be able to learn about shiva, and find and send appropriate gifts from trusted vendors with our links to shiva.com.”
This new partnership continues the expansion of shiva.com’s network of organizations and businesses that are dedicated to providing the most qualified resources on Jewish mourning and sympathy.
Shiva.com provides an easy-to-use, efficient resource to help family members, friends, colleagues and acquaintances honor the passing of loved ones. The site carefully blends centuries-old religious traditions with modern-day customs to help support, communicate and mourn. Shiva.com offers information as well as guidance about appropriate items to send and words to express condolences in a respectful and understanding way.
